History of Victoria's Cattery

I started breeding Himalayan Persian cats after my husband got me two females from Harvey and Marylyn Diamond (authors of the book “Fit for Life”).  Of these two girls, one had not yet been spayed.  I found a nice quality Blue Point male to breed to my Tortie Point girl and that started off my breeding program in 1991 in Florida.  I kept my cattery very small and just bred once per year.  We eventually moved to a larger house and added a few more cats.  We wanted to expand so we built a large tile room just for the cattery.   A few years later I went to my first CFA Cat Show in West Palm Beach Florida.  I showed my Chocolate Point male.  He got many ribbons and then I WAS HOOKED!

My life changed a bit after that.  The company that I was working for transferred me to Tampa Florida, and then shortly after that my husband became ill and passed away.  This was a very stressful time in my life, so I decided to simplify my life and downsized the cattery to only a few cats.  I didn't do much breeding or showing of cats for about a year or so.

I then met my wonderful husband Bill and we decided to move to New Hope Pennsylvania since it was near his family.  We enjoyed living  in beautiful Bucks County.  When we moved to Pennsylvania I only had three Himayan cats.  I then bought my first Calico Persian Female, Autumn.  She is still our house pet.  This started my interest into the bicolors and calicos.  I now breed and show Persians and the Himalayans.

We have recently moved to South Boston Virginia and we have a wonderful life here with our two Malamutes and our Persian and Himalayan cats.    We can still deliver kittens to Bucks County Pennsylvania too.

We don't have kids, but we feel like our animals are our family.  They live in our home with us.    I bathe them once a week.  They eat natural healthy foods.  I love working out of my home and I have lots of time devoted to loving and caring for my cats!

I go to shows as much as possible.  I am focusing on improving the breed and to have great cats with outgoing personalities that I can love!  I don't believe in line breeding or interbreeding any of my cats as you don’t know what problems may result.

If you are interested in a great cat, look into getting a Persian or Himalayan cat.  You will be glad you did.  If you have an interest in purchasing a kitten look at my kitten page.  If you are interest in an adult, I occasionally have some cats that I am retiring to pet homes.  You will need to call me for that information.

Thanks for taking an interest in us
and our little family.
